Crave is the new home of HBO, Showtime, Starz and hit movies.
BRIEF
Our objective with the redesign was to create an enhanced product for web, and apps and 10' platforms that can support the expansion of our library.
APPROACH
We aimed to create an intuitive digital experience by improving usability and rethinking the way our product works. We improved how users interact with the product by restructuring our information architecture, adding new features and upgrading the user interface.
OUTCOME
Minimalist typography and subtle use of brand colour support large full-width images, allowing our content to take the spotlight. We delivered a consistent and content-focused experience, where users intuitively feel encouraged to explore.

IMPROVEMENT & INTERACTIONS
With an extensive collection of great content from HBO, Showtime, Starz, and SuperÉcran, the value of Crave in the streaming sector continued to rise. In order to keep up with the demand of our consumers, we had to constantly innovate and improve this great brand to serve Canadian viewers.
QUICK & DIRTY
Trying new ideas are always fun but it's not always necessary to overthink essential features like the recent search history. Using methods like Hackathons we conceptualize quick ideas that's feasible for immediate development.
VIDEO PLAYER
The video player is core to a streaming service. The player in the original Crave product had a myriad of issues that caused user pains. User-expected features standardized by giants like Netflix really identified what was lacking in Crave's video player. This significantly reduced brand equity. With the new development, I collaborated with UX researchers to address issues that were problematic in the layout and improved the UI experience.
